Energy work = Working with the energy in and around our bodies.
We are electrical beings made up of layers and layers of energy fields that correlate to different aspects and parts of our physical, emotional and spiritual existence. Each layer has it's own individual impact on how we feel at any given moment in time.
When our energy is "off" we feel "off". Energy work such as Reiki and Healing Touch operate in the intention of re-balancing and boosting the energy around and in the body to restore proper flow and function. Reiki and Healing Touch Therapy use light touch, long pauses and being fully present with the recipient in order to access, facilitate and restore good, healthy energy flow and balance.
Reiki/Energy work can be used on all living things and has been utilized for hundreds of years for balancing and healing. It is highly effective and is extremely relaxing. Most people experience such deep relaxation during a session they often doze off after a few minutes. It is a fully-clothed practice where the receiver comfortably lies on the massage table or sits in a chair while the practitioner hovers/moves their hands over the body, sometimes gently touching an area to assess for blocks, imbalances and deficits. As they work they will clear, smooth, connect and boost the energy field. It can be instantly energizing, relaxing and moving. Some people "feel" something happening and others don't. That's normal and OK. Every session is different and experience individual. No expectation is the best expectation. Each individual's experience, even from one session to another, is uniquely connected to where they are emotionally/spiritually/energetically in that moment. Consequently each experience will be different either slightly or greatly depending on what the recipient needs.
Working with energy is working with intention and faith and allowing the energy to go where it is needed most so that the recipient receives exactly what they need in that moment. This makes energy work a very powerful way to balance your systems and improve your health and well-being.
